Last Update 2-09-2010

To join the RAMS club you must first be a full-time employee of Wright-Patterson AFB (either military, civilian, or contractor) or retired military.  See the club BY-LAWS for more detail on eligibility.

Once you meet the basic eligibility criteria then simply fill out the MEMBERSHIP APPLICATION and contact one of the club officers listed on the home page.  Note that to fly RC aircraft (other than park flyers), you must have a valid Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA) membership also.  Click here for information on the AMA.  Current club dues are $3 per member.

Once you contact a club officer for membership, you will be given a quick briefing on the basic rules of our unique flying site.  Keep in mind we are extremely privileged to use the Air Force Base Museum and Research Lab Test Range and must adhere to all rules.  Our field is located inside the restricted area inside Area B.  Access is achieved through the combination locked gate located off Loop Road at the base of the hill.

As always, if you are new to RC flying, been away for a while, or just want some other experienced pilots to help you out, please contact our chief flight instructor and arrange for assistance.  We have several volunteers who are available and more than willing to help out.
